ADVENTURES

After this week of theOne Room Challenge we are ready for a nap! We painted and painted, then painted some more. Just when we thought we were making progress, we discovered calcimine paint on our ceilings. Two steps back, one forward. We’re lucky our local hardware store carried the specialized primer, so we could get back on track after that product was applied. We are done with painting! Next week we’re excited to get started on the design.

Don’t Forget

Below Link Love there’s the list of 19 other One Room Challenge participants. That means 19 rooms that will get a make over. Follow everyone and check in each week! Everyone will post on Wednesday with the latest update, and the big reveal in 6 weeks.

This room is inspiring! The color is divine, and the paper is so rich. Can’t wait to see how it turns out.

So glad that the ORC introduced me to your blog.

I live in a 1904 Queen Anne on the other coast, and we have also run into a dark wine red calcimine paint under 3 layers of wallpaper, so we were able to wash it off and then seal it. I was told that they could paint freshly plastered walls with the calcimine paint and then they would rinse it off after a year when the plaster had fully cured.

Can’t wait to see how these rooms turn out

  5. I am always afraid to paint my rooms dark colors, but man does this look amazing. I think going with multiple finishes really helped to bring depth and interest to the space! I also adore the wallpaper that you have chosen it lightens up the space and gives it a unique flair.

  6. Ariel says:

LOVE IT! I can’t wait to see more of that wallpaper on the walls.

  7. It looks soooo good just from the small hints in the video – I can’t wait to see the entire space together!

  8. I love the video. It is so fun to take a tour and see the process. You definitely need to make this your room….until you transform yours. It would be a shame not to have this amazing space used and enjoyed every day. And the floors are fantastic!
