The Brinson Loft

There has been a lot of interest in our loft lately, so I thought it appropriate to post about it. I could have never imagined, that when we were covered in drywall dust and not sure if we had enough energy to eat dinner, that there would be this much of a reaction to the renovation of the loft. There were days when we didn't know if we were coming or going, but every small improvement felt like a huge leap towards a day where we weren't dirty, tired and dreaming of normal things like hot showers and clean floors.

If you would like to see all the images, visit design*sponge. We were more than honored to be included on a blog we have such high regard for. It is a site I would visit and say, I want a place like these, while looking around for inspiration.

I thought it would be fun to show you some of the before images. I look back on these and realize when our friends thought we were crazy for taking the space, we were. There was no kitchen, no walls, electrical needed more than a lot of work and I have been in nicer bathrooms at dive bars than the bathroom that was here when we moved in.

There has been posts on different blogs about our place and I wanted to say thank you to the bloggers for taking the time to post. Check out Raina Kattelson, Sketch42, Elements of Style and Hilary Inspired for their posts.

I've been inspired more than once by your incredible loft. In fact, I down right copied your painted anaglypta wallpaper in my office and if I knew how to make that incredible light in your dining room I would steal that too! Thanks for showing us the white expanse that is the before - I never would have guessed seeing the afters. Beautiful!
{Now, I need to go eat some food because your food photographs are so yummy!}

Your home is incredible! The kitchen is GORGEOUS. Your style is so inspiring. Did you use wallpaper for the kitchen? And if so, do you mind sharing where you found it? The color is awesome. Thanks for sharing these pictures!!

The place is spacious. you can play around with different concepts. You can set up some bar at the sides. It is heaven to have a place like this.
