Antiques: Outdated Cafe

On one of our more recent adventures in upstate New York, we came across this antique/cafe shop called the Outdated Cafe. It was so up our alley, we had to share. We often have people ask us where we get the stuff in our loft, and I normally say I pick a little up here and there. I am a junk hoarder of the worst sort and if it wasn't for William keeping me somewhat grounded, my transferware collection and boxer dog collection would be out of control.

This is one of those places! I pretty much loved everything that was in the store. They don't have a website yet, but you can check out their Facebook page. Kingston is overall a really nice area, and upstate New York has some of my favorite antiquing. It is worth the weekend trip if you are in the area.

And yes, I bought that vintage subway number poster in the first picture. Couldn't help myself. :)

This place IS awesome. While you're there take a walking tour of the Uptown Kingston area - here's our blog post on what to check out. http://villagegreenrealty.wordpress.com/2012/03/23/kingston-new-york-uptown-stockade-district-walking-tour/

Kingston is often overlooked because of it's "less quaint" areas but the uptown is amazing architecturally and there are some great restaurants-some new and some old. Also must check out Stan's (there are two) which is an all day event for hard core antique/vintage fans.
